My heart goes out to the owners of the ostrich farm where the Canadian government slaughtered hundreds of birds in the dark of night. Many of the birds were disease free and healthy yet all were exterminated. People offered to take the healthy birds to a new home but Canadian officials chose death in the middle of the night instead.
