AMD battled for years with the reputation of having terrible drivers. Then, over time, that image morphed into the “Fine Wine” meme. AMD’s response? “Wait, what? Not us. We now end driver support years earlier than our competitors. Winning.” 8%

Imagine being on the drivers team, busting your ass for years to undo the bad reputation. You finally gain traction only for some fuckass marketing VP to ruin it in a split second to save like 400k in engineering labor when tens of millions had been invested already. I'd lose it.

Just completely baffling. Who in their right mind would drop over a grand for premium GPUs when it might get 3 years of support before going End of Life like the 6950 XT just did

Their drivers still suck, I left the 9070xt for a 5070ti and I’m never looking back

Come on $AMD GPU market share ain’t 8%……. 👇👇👇
There you have it folks!!! 🔥🔥🔥 Two Tech legends @mooreslawisdead and @HardwareUnboxed both confirm that the Steam Hardware Survey and Jon Peddie Research GPU market share data does not seem accurate and actual $AMD RDNA4 Sales/Market Share is much higher than what’s currently being reported!!! @mooreslawisdead reiterates that there are many reports of the Nvidia “gaming” GPU cards are not actually being sold to gamers…. In addition, he emphasises that the real data from retailers such as Amazon, Newegg, Mindfactory etc… all show $AMD RDNA4 dominance in sales!!!! Watch below for more details!!! 👀 👇👇👇 piped.video/9ii4qrzfV5w?si=tVEe…

If nobody owns an AMD GPU, who does this affect?

Users discovered drivers improved over time. AMD's response: kill long term support. 8% market share = what happens when you abandon your own competitive advantage. NVIDIA didn't beat AMD on specs. They beat them on commitment.

Fake news, no context.

Full support ends when products are moved to legacy. AMD’s move was strategic, separating architectures that lack Matrix acceleration instructions from their predecessors.

Such a terrible decision, they act like they crowns market share already
Who runs amd marketing 😂
