It is also a replacement marketing tool for tradtional Web2 strategies (i.e. SEO, SEM, etc). While our little echo chamber (and it is a VERY small population relatively speaking) has turned into a casino filled with cynics... I believe that airdrops will be a big part of the future of marketing. If done right: - You will own your data - Companies will market directly to you based on your profile - You will be rewarded for trying a product or helping them spread the word about their product. And just like search engine marketing, a small % of those that you market to/with will stick with your product (if it is good). This is going to happen.
