if your industry can’t survive without theft then maybe your industry is just organised crime.

AI should be used to push science and medicine forward and help people live fuller, better lives, not so a bunch of greedy executives can replace real creative talent with cheap AI slop.

Of all the things they could enhance AI for they spend their most energy on Art. Fix Healthcare or food or something. There are people dying.

Noo, not the industry which is almost entirely based on stealing artist's work without the slightest compensation! What's next, actually pay them a liveable wage and treat them like humans too? Fck this

to be specific, generative AI should have never existed in the first place. It doesn't really do anything new that wasn't possible before. It is a redundance tech.

what AI is doing is literally copying 2 images and mixing it to one.. hell then imma start my own beverage company and simply mit coke and pepsi

Have you thought about how this technolgy will innovate the scam, blackmail, involuntary pornography, and low-effort slop industries.

Best part is this is literally false! You can just hire people to make exactly the type of data you want to train on, and you'll end up needing far far less training data than you need by just scraping everything!! It just doesn't look nice to stockholders :)))

They’re capitalists until they actually have to pay people for their work

Could you imagine the benefits of AI taking care of mundane tasks nobody likes doing such as laundry? Instead they're wasting it on stuff people enjoy.

Like, don't we *want* to acknowledge the amazing artists that shape what we think is and isn't cool?

Good, maybe they should've researched AI in a more meaningful way's instead of pointless slop.

but think about those poor robbers, they should have the right to steal from peoples homes yknow

If a program can't exist without constantly stealing then maybe it shouldn't exist. The Ai peddlers are whining for sympathy while creating water shortages for the data centers and stealing every single thing on the web.

Art industry should die instead

With no respect due, then they should perish, and all of their ill gotten speculative money go into the millions of slashed art programs

If your industry can only exist exploring someone else, it SHOULD NOT fucking exist. People love to talk about sacrifices, but only when it's not their own, I this case they ALWAYS say "what about us?" Fucking egocentric pigs 🐖

IP is not real property, as such it cannot constitute theft

I was so hype when I thought AI art was actully fully generated by a computer mind or something but nah it’s just Frankenstein art for multiple sources

Right, like why is that the artists problem? Using æï to make """"art"""" is practically theft with how it literally takes images and blends it together

AI is the solution to not wanting to het sued for using someone else's work - blame the machine, shift responsibility so no person can be held responsible for the stealing. It COULD do good things for us but humans choose to use it for bad reasons.

Listen, this is one of many things I CAN'T stand. People feeling like they have the right to let AI, a soulless, talentless, thief steal from the minds, hearts, souls, blood (& I MEAN blood, because🎸 strings hurt!), sweat, & tears of our musicians. I do NOT SUPPORT AI.
