OAI is one company that in my eyes has been irrevocably lost. Like EA for example.
Still exists, but people use it as a very good example of what not to do :)
Why do you think such rumour spread so widely? That's because people see you guys as someone who would do that.
Similar to popular games of "is this a quote from Trump, or a cartoon character." It's a chance to look in the mirror. Address the problem.
Talk about missing the point...
Trust is easy to lose, but really hard to build.
Been literally making rounds persuading all my close ones to move away from OpenAI.
I've seen zero evidence of any attempts to rebuild trust. Now talking about adult mode after verification which will make Discord disaster 2.0 inevitable...
I can understand restrictions of certain topics such as weapons, etc.
Little to no good can come out of those.
But the moment you guys started poking into people's personal lives - you proved you truly lost the plot.
I got enough popcorn and
@grok to keep me company while OAI remains a joke at best, and tragedy at worst.
I used to be a pro user early this year. Then moved down to plus subscription. Paid even for some other accounts. Now I am a non-user.
Can't imagine a scenario where I would return. And I got a pretty good imagination.
Cases like mine may be few. But they will keep accumulating.
Even a cut tree looks green at first.
Since you guys got worse theory of mind than the models you created, I will help:
Posts like this are making OAI's case worse, not better...
