🇨🇳China owned @SmithfieldFoods raises pigs in cramped pens and locked in cages to maintain an obsolete factory system. VS 🇺🇸American @JoelSalatin, a leader in the growing modern movement of regenerative and natural farming. 🐖Tormented and sick animals making unhealthy food leads to sick humans. ✅@usda and @SecRollins can make America healthy again by pushing the factory system to healthier modern standards and creating a tiered system to allow small and local farmers to produce higher quality and healthier food. 🏛️@realDonaldTrump @SecKennedy @NicoleShanahan we can all work together to MAHA.

Not on China and foreign food control of US
🇨🇳@SmithfieldFoods, owned by China, is the top U.S. pork producer with 23% market share. ❓The #2 spot? Not American either. 🇧🇷@JBSFoodsUSA, a Brazilian company, with 12%. JBS also dominates as the #1 beef producer in the U.S. 🇺🇸To secure our food supply, America has shift toward local, domestically controlled producers. 🧐As the saying goes, “Who controls the food supply controls the people.”

and they feed them 90% crushed plastic and garbage. there aren’t laws to prevent this all because of the greed of money.

I’m actually concerned with eating pork. I need to find a local farmer to sell me a quarter.

My wife and I were talking about wanting to find a local butcher or farm next time we are up in MO to get local quality meat for there and to bring back to Florida

Not sure why we allow China to control our food anyway

Because between Chyna and Corporate Big Ag money nobody in government will get in the way

All fine points but don't leave out that this will raise prices for food.

Healthier food means healthier Americans and lower costs for things like Healthcare as a nation. Also, less money in marketing and executive salaries. Listen to Salatin in @joerogan. Or make excuses and roll over for Chyna.

Actually the USDA and Big Ag developed those CAFO farming techniques, China just bought the company already doing it. But yes, reforms need to happen. Most importantly, completely deregulate small farmers. Make Growing, Processing, and Selling Food a Human Right.

Simple. Get rid of the red tape that forces small farmers to use the USDA processing facilities. Most of us work around it by doing farm shares or live animal sales, but we shouldn't have to.

I won’t knowingly buy anything from Smithfield and I haven’t since it was sold!

Glad you are exposing Smithfield Foods! I used to service their farms in northern Missouri where it was common to see the bloated pigs in dumpsters because of the food given them. Their system of fattening pigs too fast just for quick profits is extremely unhealthy for human consumption. And yes they are owned by the WH Group out of China. We always recommend to buy local from farmers that raise their animals organically.

I won't buy it simply because it's China owned. I don't trust them and never will.

I worked in a confinement system at Univ of KY for about 9 years. I was young & naive at the time. When I left there, I swore that if I ever worked with pigs again, it'd never be in a confinement. And if I could've raised my own, I know how I would've done it. Salatin is a hero.

Goes a lot further back than that Salatin guy, He was still teething when Robert Rodale and Wendel Berry were talking about this as well as the crew that puts out the Small Farmers Journal. People are not looking at the history of the subjects they are having duck fits over.

Spot on! MAHA brothers and sisters 🤠

Unless you find a farmer around here that Shitfield is what most stores carry. I have not been able to eat store bought pork since their take over. There is a reason I changed the name. It's what happens immediately if I forget & try to eat it.

Please get rid of the horrible way animals are raised for food. It is cruel to the animal and dangerous for the food supply. The old fashioned way is best. Back in the day our chickens ran loose and ate healthy things from the pasture.
