Some said an open-world experience this immersive wasn’t possible. But it’s already here. And you don’t even need silly VR headsets. Introducing, ✨Icelandverse✨ #icelandverse
By 6 wks Football Reference's Simple Rating System (pt diff & strength of sked) STARTS to peg most NFL teams about right. So, surprised to see SRS has Washington Football Team as whopping 6-to-20 pt underdog in its next NINE games. Then -4 & -0.2 in last two. Buckle up.

There is an answer to this --it's regional or sociological or some such thing. But it VARIES. Like Costner, I grew up w "Let's play catch" & nothing else. "Have a catch" sounds ridiculous, even creepy. I accept that "have a catch people" exist. Fine. But leave "play catch" alone.
I asked the man himself, Kevin Costner. Here’s what he said. (I’m still saying “have a catch”.)
Best of Boz: I can't thanks the Post enuff for this generous farewell. Especially Scott Allen & Brianna Schroer. I hope u enjoy revisiting good times in older pieces. My wife adds: "I do not know this guy they are eulogizing. He's still here annoying me." washingtonpost.com/sports/in…
My col: The constant stunning surprise, and joy of sports --thanks, Kyle Schwarber-- means a lot to many of us. But luckily, even over a lifetime, we can never quite explain it, surround it, tame it or tie an “ism” to its romping free-range lyric tail. washingtonpost.com/sports/20…
Normally, Nats honor a rare third-deck homer in RF w a red seat. Soon, Kyle Schwarber may make 'em pick a color to paint the seats up there that he hasn't hit yet.

Kyle Schwarber has the same number of home runs (24) as Bryce Harper, Juan Soto and Anthony Rendon COMBINED.
My chat at 11 am. Anything and everything. Thanks, all these years, for joining on Mon mornings (and afternoons). Cheers! washingtonpost.com/sports/20…

Hope Nats & fans remember what they have in Rizzo. He inherited 102-loss team. Last 11 years, .559 --90.6-win pace & 154 games over .500 . Rebuilt WS winner w/out Harper. Rizzo has 6 teams > .525 in last 10 yrs while Wiz have 4 .525 teams since 1979. Straight shooter & winner.
And tonight's win makes it 1,000 in the regular season since Mike Rizzo took over as GM in 2009.
I tweeted yesterday: "Nat offense will wake up soon." Law of avgs may be kind to this lineup the rest of '21. Compare top dozen Nats career OPS & HR-per-PA to current '21 levels, then factor in "it's hard to hit in '21." You'll still conclude: They may score plenty this summer.

Trying to watch this game with two sick toddlers and a newborn…did I miss anything? 😂
Nat offense will wake up soon & become NORMAL. Nat OPS is a decent .710, same as MLB avg. That should produce about MLB avg of 4.42 r/g. Instead, Nats stink: 3.77 (28th). Castro, Robles, Harrison, Avila, Mercer: 6 HR/739 AB. Soto slugging blah .432. Law of Avgs usually prevails.

My chat at 11 am. Will shock treatment --5 Kyle Schwarber HRs in back-to-back wins over Mets & joyous return of Baby Shark to D.C.-- revive Nats hopes in NL East. (Yup). Classy Rahm wins US Open as feuders DeChambeau (33-44--77) & Koepka fold. NBA --yawn. washingtonpost.com/sports/20…

My col: Jon Rahm triumphed as his rivals suffered, and major championship golf delivered again. Classy Rahm, hard luck Louis Oosthuizen and major misery, like crumbling Bryson DeChambeau's 44 on the back 9, gave us a U.S. Open to remember. washingtonpost.com/sports/20…

In '54 Stan Musial hit 5 HR in a DH vs Giants in Busch Stadium. They've talked about it ever since. Kyle Schwarber just hit 5 HR in consecutive games (also vs. NYC's N.L. team). Also, 8 HR in 10 g since Dave Martinez put The Hulk at leadoff! A+ managing but DM will never say it.
