She has ended her career, she has to now face Trump and lose or back down and also be seen as a loser. She can only lose, no one is above the law, right?

Yes, but not for that reason. She'll back down and play the victim card, "I am just a governor, no match for the Evil Drumpf!" And be praised for at least trying. She'll lose support because of WHAT hill she chose to surrender on, however. Men in womens sports is not popular.
