When will Canadians finally say enough is enough? This is not the country I dreamed my children would grow up in. To those still clinging to the illusion that we are “free” — wake up. The freedoms I’m fighting for go far beyond your ability to hop on a plane, grab dinner at a restaurant, or flash a health card. I’m talking about the freedom to think, to speak, to question, to live without fear of being silenced or controlled. If you can’t see what’s being taken from you piece by piece, then you should be far more worried than I am — because at least I know we’re losing something worth fighting for.

Canadian politics are disconnected from the Canadian people. Our federal government is off around the world chasing investors and financing the war in Ukraine. Meanwhile, at home we get a budget that gives tax breaks to people buying private jets and yachts. All the while the Canadian people are suffering with higher costs of living. We're paying more for fuel and food than we ever have. So our brilliant prime minister goes off and gets in a big argument with our largest portraying partner, the US. We did an estimated $900 billion of trade with the US last year. They only did $15 billion with us. Who do you think has the upper hand here? Whether it's liberal or conservative, the folks in Ottawa are disconnected from everyday life.

The impact of the carbon tax on viability and productivity is huge. Making products more expensive to produce or making them inaccessible is not the job of government. Government is there to serve the people. Our current group of folks in government have no idea what they're doing.

There is no other workable way. Be your own health advocate. Educate yourself on whatever comes up healthwise. Take care of you.

Confront it. Calmly accept what you are perceiving and take the next step towards continuous improvement. This may require some courage.
