I have taken a lot of heat through the years when I have criticized "state run news" in places such as King @GovNedLamont The Unaccountable's #Connecticut, saying that no such thing exists. Now we see an op-ed by @jahimes , a member of the U.S. Congress saying, not only does such a thing exist, he's damned proud it does, and he and others such as the @CTDems and the @CTSenateDems will continue to use their tax dollars to fund their viewpoint. Get it, kids? The First Amendment is a wonderful thing, except when someone expresses a viewpoint contrary to your own. In that case, you try to censor them and use their tax money for your reinforcement. I grew up as kid in the NY area reading the greats like Bob Lipsyte, Dick Young, Pete Hamill and Murray Kempton. On TV we watched Walter Cronkite and Howard Cosell. All had different viewpoints. But each of their endeavors stood on the genuineness of their message and on pure economics. Not state-sponsored support and encouragement to spew propaganda and not report on critical items impacting the general public if such report would be contrary to the interests of your glad-handing benefactor. People, lean on your legislators to stop the support of state-run media. If a thing cannot travel on its own economic merits, it should not travel at all. And God Bless the good souls like @GeorgeColli , Bob Swick @SwickSpeak and @JCherrySparks who scratch and claw every single day to bring you the facts as they stand, without the taint of political influence-buying. greenwichsentinel.com/2023/0…

Did you know less than 40% of people aged 40 own a home in CT-4?… I bet trend carries across the Connecticut — NEW ENGLAND DREAM is dying because of BAD ECONOMICS… Affordable housing should/can be solved at local levels; However, should be much more concerned about young people (families) OWNING CAPITAL, a home in a thriving community again. That’s my politics.

In year 2000 — 17 million 🇺🇸’s were on SNAP… 2025 it’s 43, enrollment has increased by about 138%… More than DOUBLED (2.5x original level) — Not only is that a lot of “Waste Fraud Abuse”…it’s a total DERELICTION OF DUTY by DC @CTDems; off shoring jobs, socialism, OPEN BORDERS!
UPDATE: The #Trump administration has made another decision on #SNAP payments during shutdown. wfsb.com/2025/11/10/states-f…

During the shutdown, we've seen hunger once again being a popular "pimp platform" for politicians. What are they all not telling you? And what can be done to finally fix the mess? Also, is anyone discussing the pay levels to executives of "charitable organizations?" Promise I will! during the 11/11 @LeeElci Show on @949newsnowwjjf beginning at 7 am ET, (and we'll also have an update on our ongoing stories). The surplus is taxpayer money and he was not allowed to do this, but he did it anyways illegally and unlawfully.
What the retarded Senator from CT fails to mention, is that premiums and deductibles continue to go higher regardless of the shutdown. Everyone who gets insurance through their employer has seen these increases outpace wages since the ACA was implemented.
An update on the shutdown. Senate Republicans continue to refuse to negotiate. House Republicans refuse to even show up to DC. Democrats just made a new reasonable compromise offer. And if Republicans reject it, it's proof of how determined they are to raise health premiums.

Hayden wants to know if the 43% of voters who are unaffiliated Independents hate SNAP. I don't. Do you? I just hate all types of Fraud. I'm not a Senator. Not for lack of trying. I didn't get to vote on the OBBB. Did you?
I’m confused don’t you all hate snap? Didn’t you just defund it in OBBB?

Happy to break this news to you today @GovNedLamont considering you, and everyone else on your bench was asleep at the switch with respect to how Federal law works, and ignored the clawback provision.

1st thing @TheDemocrats will do *if they get back in power is END FILIBUSTER, give mass amnesty to illegals, & game over… I wish we lived in “saner” times — but RADICAL socialists are rabid, only have 1 goal, that’s the destruction of the 🇺🇸 way… R’s can’t be afraid to pass winning bills for our citizens. Us poor working taxpayers are once again paying for demokkkrats #CORRUPTION and #IncompetentGovernment policies oppressing the people #DemoKKKratsDontCareAboutUs 🤬‼️#DemoKKKratsHurtingFamilies #DemoKKKratsKillingSmallBiz #DemoKKKratsRaisingTaxesAgain
To show you the ultimate stupidity and lack of vision of @GovNedLamont @LGSusanB and just about the entire political system, check this out: Instead of rationally working towards useful solutions on matters desperately needing to be fixed, stupid and inept #Connecticut will now face liabilities and administrative costs for its act of faux generosity with taxpayer money in pre-funding #SNAP. And just about anyone wearing a political uniform applauded this maneuver. And teams of state-paid lawyers missed this provision entirely. You don't fix a problem by band aiding making it worse. Now its all of us having to pay for all of them once again. I'm hiding in Florida because I couldn't find anything in CT I could afford after looking for 3 years. Even if I found a dump in a terrible neighborhood with roaches I could afford, I knew I couldn't afford the electricity bills. I was affording everything fine in 2020.

As a single person making $45,900 a year on private disability, so I have to pay for my own insurance, Connecticut is no longer affordable. It was barely enough money in 2020, but you could still make it work. Now you can not. Luckily, I'm working on something.

BREAKING: Senators have reached a deal to end the government shutdown. The agreement was negotiated by Sens. Angus King, Jeanne Shaheen and Maggie Hassan, as well as several GOP senators, and there are enough Democratic caucus members in favor of the deal, sources tell Fox News.
