Just thinking again how Dems asked people to accept short-term suffering in order to give space to prevent long-term, worse suffering and then said, "Thanks for suffering in the short-term. You'll get to suffer long-term too so that our Thanksgiving plans don't get disrupted."

Senator Schumer is no longer effective and should be replaced. If you can’t lead the fight to stop healthcare premiums from skyrocketing for Americans, what will you fight for?
this is how stupid they think you are 👇🏽
Schumer voted no. How about some tweets on the yes votes.

Honestly, this is likely as good of a deal as the Democrats are going to get. Reinstates fired federal workers. Prevents admin from re-firing them. SNAP funding for a year, and an ACA vote in December. Voters are already blaming the GOP for the ACA - make them vote against it.

Tonight’s Senate vote on the federal government shutdown should have been a time for strength. Instead we saw capitulation and a betrayal of working Americans. The American people need more from their leaders.

Sen. Elissa Slotkin (D-Mich.) said she stepped away from talks on ending shutdown because it became clear it wouldn’t deal with health care crisis. Slotkin said deal “has got to do something concrete on health care and it’s hard to see how that happens.”

A wink and a nod to deal with this health care crisis later – with no actual guarantees – is just not enough for me or the Wisconsin families I work for. I refuse to sign off on a deal that doesn’t lower working families’ health care costs.

PRIMARY. THEM. This is not ideological. Liberal, leftist, up down left right, I don’t care. And neither should you. I like Zohran Mamdani. I like Joe Biden. I like a wide range of democrats who vary ideologically. It’s fighters vs folders.
New - In major breakthrough, key Senate Ds signaling a willingness to vote to reopen government, per sources. Assuming they get provisions to reinstate fired federal workers. Emerging deal would not include extension of ACA subsidies but would guarantee a vote in Senate on issue

I can’t imagine how furious the people who patiently suffered through this shutdown must be—hoping the Democrats would actually save these health care subsidies.

Democrats win a wave of election five days ago, and now they’re caving on the very issues that helped win them the election.

The Democrats who caved just taught Republicans that using mass starvation as a weapon works.
Democrats are folding on the shutdown just so they can send a “Republican Senators just voted to end YOUR healthcare!” fundraising email in six weeks.
looks like senate dems are folding on the shutdown in exchange for a doomed vote 40 days from now and nothing else

this “deal” is embarrassingly bad, doesn’t even include ACA funding, and every Dem who supports it deserves to be primaried Trump is reeling right now, his popularity is crumbling, and he keeps flailing and making stupid decisions. bailing him out now is just totally insane
NEWS — A deal in the Senate to end the government shutdown is within reach, multiple sources from both parties told Axios. At least 10 Dems are likely to support a procedural vote on a package of funding bills and a CR, sources said. It would be in exchange for a vote on ACA tax credits in December and some language re: RIFs. More w/ @StefWKight axios.com/2025/11/09/deal-to…

If Dems cave, you’ll see a wave of Dem influencers and commentators trashing the party for giving in and getting nothing back. And then some people will ask, “Why do Democrats keep criticizing Democrats?” It’s because the party keeps doing nothing. Why support mediocrity?

A 50-year mortgage to solve the fact that no one can buy a home seems like the kind of idea a man who bankrupted a bunch of casinos would come up with.
