My first enterprise box: Catalyst 6506 Sup1A, so there's some sweet memory for 10 years until it broke. Things that I've enjoyed: - Brocade MLXe-8, crazy powerful but unfortunately it doesn't support newer protocols such as EVPN-VXLAN, but MPLS-L3VPN/L2VPN/VPLS works so easily. Router that I've wish I'd have: - Juniper MX204, crazy fast 1U gateway router with all of the protocols supported, replacing MX80 and MX104. - Arista box, manly for EOS, you can run Docker container on EOS.

I yearn for the days of multiple 6509 chassis’ and throwing CatOS commands at them. They actually were rock solid….as long as you never updated them 🤣

Ahhh that Cisco 6509 she was a beauty, ever missed a beat. Now it’s more what fits the use case and budget, advanced security and opensource.
