⚡️🇮🇱JUST IN:
Israeli Transportation Minister Miri Regev said that her ministry is proceeding with steps toward the “de facto annexation” of the West Bank on the ground, despite U.S. President Donald Trump preventing the Israeli right-wing government’s plan to officially annex it.
In an interview with Israel’s Channel 12, Regev stated: “I believe that, in the end, there will be Israeli sovereignty in the West Bank,” adding that the U.S. administration also understands “there is no other way,” even though Trump repeatedly voiced opposition to the formal annexation of the West Bank.
She continued: Unfortunately, this is not the right time, but it will happen. In any case, at the Ministry of Transportation, we are already exercising actual sovereignty in the [West Bank]. If you look there, you’ll see the number of roads and lighting systems we’re building there [for settlers].
