We mourn the passing of former Secretary of the Navy Paul Ignatius. A steady hand who led our Navy and Marine Corps through the crucible of Vietnam. His legacy of service, integrity, and quiet courage endures in every Sailor and Marine who stands the watch today. We extend our deepest condolences to the Ignatius family. Fair winds and following seas, Mr. Secretary.

This Veterans Day, the Department of the Navy commemorates 250 years of American seapower with “Above, Below, and Beyond,” a two-hour Presidential special airing Sunday, Nov. 9, 2025, on Fox Nation. In this tribute, we show the world and our adversaries that America’s Navy–Marine Corps team and their families is what makes America a superpower. This honors both those in uniform and the families who give them strength. The next century of American seapower won’t be defined by a single platform, but by the character of our people. dvidshub.net/r/q7c2ui

250 Years of Winning Our Nation's Battles For one quarter of a millennium, we have defended our country. From the birth of our nation during the American Revolution, to the end of the Global War on Terror, our role as a naval-based amphibious force has played a defining role in turning the tides of each conflict into our Nation’s favor. We have fought in every clime and place, and we maintain readiness to continue to be America's 9-1-1 anytime and anywhere we are called upon. Here's to the next 250. Semper Fidelis & Happy Birthday, Marines!
The @USNavy and @USMC stand ready to help Sailors and Marines negatively impacted by the COVID vaccine mandate. This is an important priority for the Department of the Navy, and that is why I’ve tasked Under Secretary Hung Cao to lead this effort. Contact our reinstatement team at SN.COVID.TaskForce@us.navy.mil for answers & assistance.
Many impacted warriors have reached out on X with COVID reinstatement questions & concerns. We’ve been engaging with the Services daily to follow up & close the "last mile." Keep the pressure on as we work to enhance communication, fix issues & make our warfighters whole.

Marines mark their 250th birthday by sharpening their edge, doing what they do best: training to fight and win. @USMC
Yesterday’s @USMC amphibious training ensures we’re ready to defend the Homeland and protect America’s interests against emerging challenges. When it matters most, it’s not technology that wins the day, but the dependability and decisiveness of our Marines.
@VP, @SecWar, @SECNAV, @CMC_MarineCorps were all in attendance to watch the occasion and deliver remarks. We send a clear message to allies, partners, and adversaries alike: the United States maintains the world’s most lethal and adaptable maritime force — ready to respond anytime, anywhere, in any domain.
For 250 years, The United States Marine Corps has been America’s 9-1-1 force. From sea to shore, the Marines and Sailors of @1stMEF, supported by the @USNavy, @US3rdFleet, executed the largest amphibious operation in more than 30-years, demonstrating unmatched readiness, precision, and teamwork, during the Marine Corps 250th Amphibious Capabilities Demonstration.
The @USNavy - @USMC team remains unmatched, a global force for peace through strength; ready for any challenge, anytime, anywhere. The character of war is changing rapidly, but the character of Marines remains unshakable.
