Modern conservatives where conservation is just a slogan.

I’m conservative on many fronts. Including social issues. But they were right not revisiting this. I understand the “sacrament between a man and woman”. But times change, they’re two grown adults that choose to marry, not hurting anyone and it doesn’t affect us. Just my 2 cents
Modern Conservatives only inheritance is a history of moral degradation. If America is a political machine, then you get out what you put in. What kind of culture are we feeding it? 50% of the Population’s largest concern is if they can kill their kids without consequence.
Hate to rain on the “civil warists” heads, but we are closer to a Military Coup than a civil war. Not that a Military Coup is coming anytime soon.
Deficiencies in the system are apparent, and there’s a good chance things will be made worse trying to correct it. Things won’t get better unless we turn towards Christ. The Zeitgeist only sees material, and Man doesn’t live off bread and water alone.

The Heresy vs Racism + Nazism + Uncouthness question is so telling of Protestantism. Keep being a prop in modernity. Keep waiving those secular idols brothers!
Wagner is getting a lot of heat, but he’s right. The Cathlosphere is far too lax when it comes to individuals preying on the Faithful.
Gavin Ortlund says things objectively worse than Nick Fuentes on a weekly basis.
Vintage Anthony tweet!
I think I understand why Protestant women don’t like the doctrine of the immaculate conception. The thought of another woman being better than them infuriates them.
You remove the sacramental element of marriage and you get 2025 America.
MAGA conservatism got let into the Big House, and now plays the same game establishment GOP does. This time the target shifted from economic populists to social ones.

Women saw the stereotype. That Men work for nothing the prime of their lives. Make enough to have family, but can never be around. Have a midlife crises to dissatisfaction. Die alone and depressed. They saw that everywhere and still bought the lie that it would make them happy
Either Nick Fuentes is so influential that his Rumble Podcast usurped the GOP’s victories to a degree he must be addressed by republican talking heads. Or Organized Jewery is trying to stop him from saying what he says.

The same sports educate expressed in High-School should be also implemented in professional sports. From Audience behavior to post game handshakes.
Catholic women influences shouldn’t lecture men. They won’t reach them anyway. They should focus on getting women to stop killing their kids.

I struggle with this as well
Critiquing post war mentality is a OK, and frankly should be in an effort to course correct. This tendency to “they vs us” them isn’t really efficacious, and ties into the modern giest of victimhood and vilification. In a lot of ways ‘they are us, and we are them’.
Joseph de Maistre is the “people’s champion” of illiberal philosophers.

“To hear these defenders of democracy talk, one would think that the people deliberate like a committee of wise men, whereas in truth judicial murders, foolhardy undertakings, wild choices, and foolish and disastrous wars are eminently the prerogatives of this form of government”

“American is just an idea” + Abortion = The death of a nation. There can be no unity in a commercial empire without a standardized cult. There’s no society, just partnerships. The only bonds are transactional.
Groypers are a niche Conservative populist movement that introduces Catholic thinking into the political sphere that’s really compelling. They didn’t put egg on the GOP’s face last night. Trump did by ignoring the domestic. The ‘cunning of reason’ is manifesting itself.
‘Revolutions lead to Civil Wars’ - Hegel Trump made a coalition to usurp the GOP, which included (not surprisingly) some GOP mainstays. Now after victory the Mainstays and disaffected must have their dialectic.
