#Telangana Commissioner of Food Safety conducted inspections at three prominent restaurants in Somajiguda,
#Hyderabad on May 21, 2024.
Kritunga – The Palegar’s Cuisine Restaurant, Somajiguda:
1. Six kgs of Ganga Gold Paneer, valued at Rs. 2,100, was found in sealed packets without FSSAI License, Logo, and Use by dates, and hence was discarded on the spot.
2. Six kgs of Methi Malai Paste, worth Rs. 1,800, was found expired on April 4, 2024, as per its label, and was consequently discarded on the spot.
3. 156 units of 1-liter water bottles of Kritunga Palegar’s Brand, worth Rs. 7,800, were seized as they contained a TDS value of just 4 ppm using a TDS Meter on the spot. Samples were sent to the laboratory for analysis.
4. Non-Veg paste worth Rs. 648 and Citric acid-containing packets worth Rs. 150 were found without proper labels and were discarded on the spot.
5. Semi-prepared and raw food articles were stored inside the refrigerator without proper labeling and covering.
6. The kitchen premises were found open to the outside environment without proper mesh/barrier to avoid the entry of pests or flies, and dustbins were found open without lids.
7. Food handlers were found without hair caps, gloves, and aprons. Medical fitness certificates for food handlers and pest control records were not found with the FBO. Water analysis reports were not available with FBO for RO water supplied and used at the premises for cooking and drinking.
