X is more suspendy than FB was 4 years ago.
Free Speech is fading here for conservatives, again, yet leftists constantly make death threats here with no repercussions. None. Their accounts are still up even after multiple reports of direct threats of violence and death towards specific individuals. Makes no sense. After a week of suspension for a sarcastic comment I think it's time to move on. Maybe some comments/replies but X is no longer worth it, just as FB became and IG is becoming. Truth Social and Telegram seem to be the last bastions of the 1st Amendment for nonleftists. @elonmusk
Waaaaaaay back between 1977 and 1980 my dad was on Sheik Zayeds flight crew/retinue as a comms officer with E-Systems. While living in Abu Dhabi anytime we went on vacation it was paid for by the Royal family. Always BA First Class flights and nice hotels. All that was strange for me having grown up an Air Force brat with 3 siblings. $$$ was not in surplus then.
On my first fight to Heathrow dinner was served and the cutlery was awesome to a then 13yo me. The stewardess let me keep the set, she was nice and amazingly gorgeous with a fantastic British accent(of course).
This weekend while going through attic and garage boxes, some unlooked at for 30 years, I found that set. Arthur Price Stainless. BA First Class cutlery. Good memories flooded back of premodern UAE, ACS Abu Dhabi(American School), late 70s Europe, Singapore, Hong Kong and dad(RIP). Made me smile. 👍🏻🍴🥄
