Sir, the bible clearly testifies be doers of the word, not just hers.
What does that mean to be a doer of the word?
Is there work and service involved in that sir??
For the people who hold to a false, works-based gospel, believing salvation can be lost or forfeited, believing that their behavior, performance, lifestyle, obedience, or any works they do contribute to eternal salvation, who say things like:
“I do this, I do that, I did this, I did that, I don't do this, I don't do that, I didn't do this, I didn't do that, I, I, I, me, me, me…”
You sound very similar to this pharisee in the Bible…
Luke 18:9-12 KJV
And he spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others:
Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican.
The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.
I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.
Jesus said that man was not justified…
Self-righteousness always sounds like: “I thank you God that I… I do… I don’t… I keep… I obey…” “I am righteous because I do these things or b/c I don't do this or that.”
And that self-exalting mindset reflects the same root sin Scripture shows in Lucifer’s fall, pride.
Isaiah 14:12-14 KJV
How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.
I… I… I… me… me… me… always exalting self.
This is the heart of every false works-based salvation message, lifting up yourselves instead of believing in the finished work of Christ alone.
Change your mind and believe the Gospel. Salvation is by God’s grace through faith alone, not by your behavior, not by your performance, not by your attempts at righteousness, not by any works you do, (Acts 16:30–31; 1 Corinthians 15:1–4; Romans 1:16; Ephesians 2:8–9; Romans 4:2–6; John 3:16; Romans 3:22–28).
