Promising people free stuff you can't deliver is not "hope", it's just hype.
Zohran has no tax raising powers to fund any of what he promised. So now relies on the state legislature, and Governor, to implement massive tax rises in order to fund what he has promised.
But that's career suicide, obviously. Taxes are already very high. The Governer and state Senators will lose their seats if they massively raise taxes to fund "free buses" and "state run grocery stores" etc.
So we are now looking at a very interesting next 4 years.
Will the Governor and state Senators willingly commit hari kiri to boost Zohran's career? ...or is it more likely that they will choose their own careers, over his?
