How they solve that too damn high energy bill will tell the electorate if democrats can be trusted. If they preserve roadblocks and increase energy production on twenty year timelines they’ll just look incompetent. Like with Biden’s infrastructure plan. Worse yet, price controls and no increased production. That would produce a disaster down the road.

This was the message in half the Sherrill ads I saw. It seemed like her military background was front and center in the primary, but by a few months into the general she barely mentioned it compared to economic issues.

I happened to be watching It's a Wonderful Life on Tuesday, and its ideas and themes felt more relevant to the election than anything else. I came away thinking that Frank Capra politics is all anyone really needs.
