My gran still refuses to use online banking.
She’ll walk down to the branch, queue up, sign the cheque , and take her paper receipt.
Not because she doesn’t know how the app works
but because she doesn’t trust it.
And truthfully, she’s not wrong to feel that way.
It took decades for people to believe that digital money was still real money.
The tech moved faster than the trust ever did.
That’s exactly where we are with RWAs right now.
We’re asking the world to believe that assets, income, and settlement can exist onchain
that code can handle what custodians and lawyers used to.
But that kind of belief takes time.
Trust doesn’t migrate at the speed of innovation.
It moves at the speed of proof.
People don’t need new tech
they need visible, repeatable evidence that it actually works.
It took online banking 20 years to earn that trust.
RWAs will get there faster, but not instantly.
Because technology evolves in code,
but belief evolves in generations.
