slight difference - solar roadways were always stupidly impractical because of road weathering datacenters in space is the natural conclusion to a scaled up civilization, just might take 100 years

I’m still trying to wrap my head around how they plan to dump heat. Is radiation cooling really all that efficient? It’s like capturing water (energy) from a water jet (solar rays), using it and then trying to get rid of it out of porous pipes without much pressure (radiators).

Modern tech can't survive up there because of Cosmic Radiation. Even JWST uses 2 Decade old computers from 2001, because their much more crude, 100x larger transistors can cope with the amount of shielding that fit into the weight budget to actually be launched up there.
