Is Grok just a glorified search engine?
I've noticed it seems to search public websites (Reddit, Wikipedia, etc.) for every prompt to build its answer.
It reminds me of my son. If I ask him about astrophysics, he answers from his brain. If he doesn't know, he says so, researches it later, and builds his own knowledge. The next time I ask, he just knows.
Grok seems to be permanently in that "let me look it up" mode, like a librarian composing an answer from references.
So, where is the knowledge Grok really possesses if it depends on real-time search for every answer? Is it true intelligence or just extremely fast research?
