Paying with an iphone tap of Apple Pay is almost zero friction, and compared to that swiping seems primitive. Lighting is better but not because of UX.
Something that Bitcoin would face stiff resistance in India from UPI. A far better UX than lightning. Of course we don't talk about how it's smooth UX towards CBDCs 🤫
Logging into Geyser via LN with my Phoenix wallet feels the same. I don't want 1000 passwords, I want to use my cryptographically secured wallet to login to everything, thanks.
Whilst true, the issue is offline payments for example or users/establishments that only accept cash.
I travel a lot (in central America ATM) and for example in Germany you had to pay with cash at many restaurants (this is Berlin) or clubs/bars. Same goes for Nicaragua/Morocco.
