You haven't really failed, because you haven't really tried to succeed. So don't credit yourself as a failure. You're worse than that.
almost everything that a person deals with on a daily basis can be explained by basic economics

the typical (American) high school curriculum consists of these core subjects: English mathematics science (usually earth, biology, chemistry, physics) government physical education foreign language art / music they should be largely replaced with these subjects: economics / markets probability / statistics psychology / sociology game theory the world (society) would improve tremendously in just a couple generations how will the students learn English and math though? because during the study of these subjects they will be required to read and write a lot and do a lot of math anyways

Hi everyone, Monad will now release on Monday, November 24, 2025. We are sorry for adding additional time to what we realize has been a long wait, but these extra months have allowed us to finish the chain with the level of polish you have come to expect and deserve.

decentralization doesn't imply lack of coordination it implies the validator can't be told what to do it should be obvious that a validator has a natural interest in protecting the chain (unless it is the attacker itself)

if this trend continues of crypto underperforming AI/semi expect the general CT mood to continue to get worse - I agree with some other posts that it's already not great right now

really proud of the team we've built at @category_xyz during our weekly meeting today it occurred to me that this is the first place I've worked where I feel dumber than others on the team

it's easy to prove existence of assets it's nearly impossible to prove absence of debt (unless all possible routes of debt are forced into the system) therefore it's nearly impossible to prove solvency

Base, the most successful Ethereum L2 by far, spends about $4K/day to inherit the security of Ethereum. That's $1.5M/year to a $460B asset (0.03 bps). The L2 roadmap has Ethereum maxis selling their virtuous alignment for less than pennies. Ethereum should focus on scaling the L1 and stop selling security and alignment for zero.
Worth reading by @christine_dkim Don't have unrealistic expectations. L2 at the moment is such a broadly defined category that it barely means anything; L2s can even compete with Ethereum. To properly understand the positioning of a project, try to understand these properties: - does it compete with Ethereum's core business (that's DeFi at the moment) - does it use the same tech and will it contribute it - will it burn ETH or otherwise accrue value to it (e.g. buying services from Ethereum L1) These will be a much better guide to how good a project is for Ethereum than whether it's an L1 or L2 :)
