Yesterday night, bandits loyal to Bello Turji invaded Dan Maliki community in Kalgo ward, Sabon-Birni LGA, Sokoto State. They killed & injured people and also abducted at least 20 people both male & female during the invasion. This came less than 24 hours after another attack linked to Bello Turji’s group in Bargaja community, Isa LGA, also in Sokoto East Senatorial District. Communities across the district are living in fear, uncertain of who may be targeted next. Government and security agencies should please reinforce forces across the district, intensify coordinated operations and work urgently to secure the safe return of all abducted civilians.
