Declan Rice showed today why he’s one of the very best. From his goal saving tackle on Murphy to his assist for Mikel Merino, this is up there with his best for #Arsenal. He managed all phases of the game, and when he moved forward, he pushed everyone with him. World class.

Loved chatting with @jaybothroyd on Friday on Sky Sports Fan Club. First time I’ve been on with a proper #Arsenal man; I couldn’t not get a MartĆn Zubimendi plug in. Big thanks to everyone who follows and support me here and on YouTube to help make these opportunities happen!

When #Arsenal needed a goal, Bukayo Saka stepped up. He laid one on a plate for Saliba, scored the equaliser and in the dying minutes immediately after conceding, he created another huge moment for Calafiori. Platform him above everyone; he is the one who will win us the title.

Liverpool fans will spin a loss to their ā€˜biggest rivals’ as a win as City can now compete with #Arsenal for the title. They have lost five of their first 11 games this season, but will make the narrative about us. Mikel Arteta lives rent free in their heads.

The fact we were two minutes from creating a big gap at the is why yesterday is such a blow, and even then, Calafiori should have won it at the death. But, this run has been incredible, and #Arsenal played some phenomenal stuff in the second half on very tired legs. Back them.

Mikel Arteta had to use his bench. That was #Arsenal’s third away game in a week, and the players dug deep to go 2-1 up. It was clear many were flagging, and whilst we didn’t have stretchers who could come on and offer running power, we had fresh defensive legs. This one hurts.
If Sunderland go man to man with the aggression they’ve showed to date, Riccardo Calafiori becomes #Arsenal’s game breaker. His mid week rest should give him the extra freshness to pop up in zones where he can’t be tracked, and give us the extra man in central zones. Maverick.

Martin Zubamendi’s intelligence, athleticism and technical elegance has transformed #Arsenal; we’ll need it again tomorrow. Sunderland is a tough game, and his two footed press resistant distribution is vital against a side that often start with an aggressive man to man press.

Declan Rice's set piece success is taking the credit away from the insane levels he's producing all round. This season, he's averaging 17 more touches and 16 more successful passes per game, ranks top in the Premier League for progressive carries, and ranks in the top five midfielders in the league for both long and short passes, which shows the incredible variation of his on ball game. On Tuesday, he was #Arsenal's whole midfield, completing more passes than Ethan Nwaneri, Christian Norgaard and Eberechi Eze combined. In addition to his passing, he managed himself against a physical man to man press without needing to make a single tackle, ensuring he avoided suspension for the Bayern game. He has now reached the point where he knows when the game needs him, and when to leave things to his teammates to ensure he can impact the game in more effective positions. He can win every ball, but he doesn't need to; we have more than enough players to help with this and that freedom has given him much greater positional flexibility and unleashed his atheltic and technical potential. Right now, it's difficult to find another midfielder on the planet who can do what he does with the consistency he does it. Truly world class.

#Arsenal can rotate heavily and manage an injury crisis in the Champions League and go to the 95th minute before conceding a shot on target, but when £2bn squads attempt it, they drop points to Qarabag. Levels.

Leandro Trossard has been #Arsenal’s most consistent attacker this season. He’s always available to play, has incredible intelligence, deceptive strength and two footed decisiveness in the final third, and that’s what gives him such an impressive G/A record. A difference maker.

When #Arsenal have needed Mikel Merino, he’s stepped up with big goals and performances. His game isn’t always pretty, or clear to understand, but when he gets close to the box, he has supreme clarity and composure. He’s become the perfect squad player; no frills, just impact.

Martin Zubimendi has provided #Arsenal a whole new identity, and could be the project defining signing. His intelligence to interchange positions, progress the ball, create around the box and mobility to provide defensive security has made everyone around him better. World class.

Riccardo Calafiori is timing his front footed play more effectively, dominating aerially, and now knows when to roam and when to sit. This combined with the variation of his passing angles and carrying quality, is making his forward play even more effective. Superstar potential.

#Arsenal’s positional flexibility goes unnoticed. At Burnley, we Timber was moving into right eight, Trossard 10 and Eze to the left eight position, with Rice and Zubimendi covering the whole pitch. They couldn’t handle that movement in the first half, which led to big chances.

Viktor Gyƶkeres had his best game for #Arsenal yesterday. His goal was a huge one to break the game open, he created a massive chance that Saka should have scored and was crucial for our second goal. Hopefully his injury is precautionary, as he’s really growing in this team.
