Now I’m understanding the subsidy structures in ACA better. The Democrat shutdown is over cutting the $38-40B/yr ACA COVID subsidies (from 2021 & 2022); these add-on subsidies were made to even apply to enrollees making >400% of the FPL (their premium is capped at 8.5% of income)!! The total annual spend on Premium Tax Credits (PTC) then is not $40B it’s $138B!! But the CR removes only the COVID subsidies, so the annual spend is still $98-100B; the pre-COVID subsidies don’t go away. There are other ACA subsidies too, such as Cost-Sharing Reductions (CSRs) to lower out-of-pocket costs such as deductibles, copayments, & coinsurance for eligible individuals. These are for people earning up to 250% of the FPL in Silver tier plans. More details on the many types of ACA subsidies: x.com/i/grok/share/NxZIyLd38… See chart: x.com/brian_blase/status/198…

If the temporary Biden COVID Bonuses expire, the American government is not going to stop subsidizing Obamacare. Taxpayers will still spend over one trillion dollars subsidizing Obamacare through premium tax credits. We need to address that problem.

If the Affordable Care Act needs subsidies from tax payers to be affordable. It’s not affordable.
To be clear Schumer’s deal was simple: -Extend affordable care act ONLY for eligible citizens/residents for ONE year. No other terms. This would prevent affordable care premiums increasing up to 3x on families. Republican’s refused.

He's right. In reality, the tariffs have brought us trillions of dollars and have barely made an impact on inflation. "The experts" were wrong...again.

The U.S. Department of the Treasury today announced a comprehensive audit of all contracts and task orders awarded under preference-based contracting, totaling approximately $9 billion in contract value across Treasury and its bureaus. The audit will examine potential misuse of the Small Business Administration’s 8(a) Business Development Program, and other initiatives that provide federal contracting preferences to certain eligible businesses.

Woah. Trump’s Secretary of Labor just announced that they have over 175 investigations into companies suspected of abusing the H-1B visa program. She says they’re going to force employers to post job openings to the American public before hiring H-1Bs.

I would love to deport 30 million people overnight to help drop home prices but it takes 10 years and 50 court hearings just to deport one person so how long is it gonna take us to deport 30 million people? The kids need answers now. Like before the midterms.
The entire purpose of this is to eliminate populists from public discourse and make sure Trump never happens again. This excerpt is from Eric Liu's book, who along with Rockefeller President Stephen Heintz architected One Common Purpose.

🧵🚨 MAJOR BREAKING: International actors are involved in the State Department led color revolution 🚨🚨 This is not speculation; it’s straight from a recorded call. Ex-USAID employees describe how, before January 20, they moved internal groups off government systems and into encrypted Signal chats, then quickly linked with foreign partners and NGOs after the inauguration. This attempt at creating a color revolution isn't new news; this part was already reported in NOTUS earlier this year. But what's not reported is the international aspect. One participant explicitly frames it as "a global anti-authoritarian movement," connecting U.S. officials with "colleagues from around the world who have dealt with this directly." They reference coordination with Johns Hopkins, "international democracy and conflict mitigation spaces," and efforts to mobilize across borders against what they perceive as domestic authoritarianism. At what point does this become treason? As always, patience as I pull together this thread. 👇

1) Trump White House is looking to deport Imran Ahmed of the pro-censorship organization Center for Countering Digital Hate. I previously exposed Ahmed for running a "Kill Musk's Twitter" campaign. Ahmed is British and now lives in NE DC.
President Trump is right. Voters frequently ask me: "Alex, why hasn't the Senate codified President Trump's executive orders? Why aren't they advancing his agenda? Why are so many of his nominees still not confirmed? Don't we control the majority?" All fair questions. Our supporters are deeply frustrated, and rightfully so. Senate Republicans must step up, take decisive action, and deliver results. They can achieve this by ending the filibuster once and for all. Voter turnout in the midterms will depend on whether the GOP Senate proves it can fulfill its promises.
