Having a stake in the future is not the same as knowing what is best for the nation. Kids have the most stake in their nutrition, education, etc. but we don't let then make their own decisions about it. Disappointing to see Land so blinded by a religious belief in human equality.

There are interesting quibbles about the kids thing, but baseline is that there's a 3.5 billion year struggle to get to you, which really shouldn't be dismissed in a fit of pique. It's been passed forwards under vastly more difficult conditions than this.

We should be able to punish people who terrorize neighborhoods while on drugs, but people who do mountains of cocaine or other drugs without bothering anyone should be left alone.
