Doesn’t surprise me one bit that Alex Karp and his “ontology” @PalantirTech cannot crack a simple 13F.
A fundamental principle of any rigorous ontological/epistemological model - whether philosophical or in data science – is recognizing when your information set is insufficient for valid conclusions.
It's pretty wild that $LMND plans to cut the loss adjustment expense (LAE) from 7% to 3.5% as the business scales further. Most insurance businesses have very small profit margins, so taking 3.5% from an already incredible LAE ratio and moving it to profit (or to customer savings and improved growth spend return) is a huge deal.
And who would’ve thought I’d walk out of the 2025 @Tesla Annual Shareholder Meeting even more bullish on @Lemonade_Inc ?! @shai_wininger@daschreiber
Guys, this man is solving autonomous driving — we’re talking about millions of robotic vehicles weighing tons, moving at 50 mph among people. He’s launching skyscraper-sized rockets into orbit at 17,000 mph, building the first humanoid robot assembly line, implanting brain chips in quadriplegics to give them hope again, reinventing internet connectivity without cables…
…and yet he tells us that the insurance business is very, very complicated.
Unbelievable — and props to @Tesla_Cybercat for the question!

When do you guys reckon we'll get re- ratings?
Obviously, funds are busy managing/ profiting from all this volatility
Which firms will they give 'honest' re- ratings & which will give lower ratings (in the hope of dragging the price down & buying in)? 🤔
Bought more.
Up to my highest ever $LMND share- count today.
(Closed $LMND calls after earnings, then made some speculative bets on other stocks, which I've also just closed)
Trying (& failing 😂) to focus on share-count rather than $ amount
We’re so lucky to have such an incredible retail investor community!
It feels like a new kind of partnership, maybe even friendship, between company leaders and the investors who truly get it.
All within regulatory limits, of course 😉
100%. great move. Insurance has been doing well and P&C AI-based insurance even better. I discussed some of the insurance the other day but truly a great chart and one to stick with for me
