I'm genuinely stoked for this adaptation; Del Toro has a way of finding the sincere, beating heart even in the most gothic and grotesque narratives, which I think is exactly what this story needs to resonate today.

Didn’t know what to expect going in, but Frankenstein pulls you in slowly..more melancholic than terrifying. Jacob Elordi’s performance was amazing.I just wish the emotional connection between Victor and creature hit harder. It brushes against brilliance but never fully lands
