This is egregiously wrong. The First Amendment exists precisely to protect speech some people may find offensive.

It seems absurd that people are like “the trannies must be locked up” in response to a cis dude committing violence that his trans partner is aghast about and cooperating fully with the authorities over.

Two hundred and thirty five years later, there is in this nation a minority group whose rights are under severe attack: transgender individuals. We have a presidential administration which seeks to curtail those individuals’ rights. We have a powerful political movement that wishes to make them afraid. This is wrong. It’s also un-American.
