A lot of you don’t know the impact of having good friends just because you make friends for the wrong reasons. I have a very small circle, but those I see as friends, not business partners, not acquaintances, they’re lowkey my therapy.
I have friends I’m richer than, I have friends richer than me. I just need 10 minutes with any of the people I see as my friends, no matter what I’m going through at that moment in time, I’ll be fine. Even a call, 30 minutes rants, and I’d be fine. That’s my support system.
Be a good friend to people who are good to you. Be the friend you want in your friend, share gifts, put them on, put their well being into consideration, grow together. You’ll never regret it.
It’s not always about making friends with the rich, but those who have similar growth mindset like you do, those who conversing to feels like a safe net for a quick therapy, those who you know got you as much as you got them.
Lastly, any friendship you have to always appear okay/rich, where you can’t show weakness/vulnerability when need be isn’t healthy enough, those aren’t your friends, at most acquaintances. Know your place in people’s lives, also have a way you place people in your life, and play your roles accordingly.
