Bernie Sanders praising Trump's brutal policies at the U.S.-Mexico border while also calling Trump a "fascist" just about sums up the rotten state of the progressive Democrats and their utterly irredeemable party.
Fifty seven percent of Americans (and 89 percent of Democratic Party voters) currently believe the U.S. is headed in the wrong direction with policies related to undocumented immigrants. What’s happening to immigrants at the border and around the U.S. is horrifying.
Yet Bernie Sanders says “Trump did a better job.”
It's stunning that Sanders would decide to toe the Trump line on immigration at a moment when ordinary working people are courageously standing up to the masked ICE agents terrorizing our cities.
After all this time, Sanders and his fellow progressives have failed to even raise the federal minimum wage, which is still at a disgraceful $7.25/hour, let alone taxing the rich to fund free healthcare, high quality public schools, and free college education, and eliminating medical and student debt.
Not one single Democratic Party politician is willing to support what our Congressional campaign is fighting for:
- Stop the deportations, shut down ICE and the detention centers,
- End all U.S. military aid for the apartheid Israeli state, and end the brutal occupation of Palestinian lands,
- Tax the rich to fund free healthcare for all (regardless of immigration status)
- Raise the national minimum wage to $25/hour (at least $30/hour in metro areas), and
- Enact national rent control.
We cannot support either of the two bankrupt, genocidal parties of the billionaires. We need a new party for the working class.
BERNIE: “If you don’t have any borders, you don’t have a nation.”
“Trump did a better job. I don’t like Trump, but we should have a secure border. It ain’t that hard to do. Biden didn't do it.”
