🧵I am extremely cautious about sharing posts that could be fake news, misinformation, disinformation, or sensationalist However, I have checked this out with several contacts who follow South Korea very closely, including some who live there. They confirm the reports below 👇/
The bill directly targets slogans like “CCP OUT,” “Stop Organ Harvesting in China,” and “Illegal Chinese Voting = Election Fraud” — chants used by our Freedom-University during anti-CCP rallies. The opposition called it what it is "a censorship law silencing free speech." Democrats and far-lefts claim it applies “equally to all nations,” but the bill’s rationale mentions only China not the U.S. or Japan. In reality, it’s a domestic suppression law to protect China’s image. The Korean people asked Lee Jae-myung what China means to Korea and his answer was repression. If this is true, this is an absolutely outrageous setback for democracy in South Korea. It would represent a #China #CCP takeover of South Korea. And it would mean that, after 15 years of visiting South Korea, working with South Koreans to advocate for #NorthKorea human rights, and admiring South Korea's democracy, I myself could face jail in South Korea if I visited. The international community needs to speak out strongly on this and urge South Korea to think again.

This is devastating to continue to see kores progress negatively. South Korea has always been one of the greatest countries I've wanted to live in but laws like this that suppress speech are a clear indication that the freedom and liberty of citizens or Travelers alike are at a real risk and people will not be able to speak their mind freely in Korea. I really hope the people of Korea can come together and accept that Liberty and freedom is far better than anything the CCP could offer them

is south Korea becoming a new Hong Kong now?

1. That's a lie. But anyone who cites Chosun Ilbo as a source is making themselves look ridiculous. The idea is to make racism and hate speech punishable offences, because hate speech is not covered by freedom of expression.

It hasn’t passed, it is proposed and there are many objections including the claim that the DPK is courting the foreign resident voters of whom the majority are Chinese. chosun.com/politics/assembly…

This is truly a disgrace. The current government of South Korea has become a pawn of the CCP. If this is real, all US troops need to be withdrawn, and South Korea can fend for itself against the CCP and Kim Jong Un.

It's really bad if South Korea people can't protest against Communist China. Communist China is an uncivilized WW2 barbarians country which should not exist in the civilized world

Feel sad for South Korea, if it's true, despite the anti CCPChina sentiment across South Korea. If the ruling party like to kowtow to CCP China, perhaps it's time for citizens of South Korea to realize who should be supported in next general election

Anyone who thinks China only wants to invade Taiwan is dead wrong.

A more effective tactic may be to require foreign agent registration to root out foreign funded propaganda.

Then don't spread bullshit, simple. This should apply to all things. We still have morons believing vaccines will kill you.

The most wired thing is the population of Chinese in North Korea and Russia (their allies are real less, even no Chinatown). But massive Chinese stay in South Korea and Japan, the enemy nation. They are infiltrated the democracy 🙄 all the Chinese should be treated as spy
