Samourai Wallet Developer got 5 years in prison yesterday. What does this mean for devs working on: - ZCash - RailGun - Aztec chain - Privacy wallets - Privacy pools - Zama + FHE Are we just not speaking about this. Is there legal clarity i can't see. Because this case and the Tornado case don't have bright lines. It's just whatever the DOJ feels like prosecuting. Is anyone working on financial privacy safe?

A great week of learning, again. @JupiterBlock's deep dive on Risk Management was a highlight, covering risk matrices, and the different risk profiles of startups, DeFi DAOs, and VASPs. In @lex_clinic, we explored the future of AI transactions with protocols like x402 and ERC-8004; @bestape continued helping understand computational legalese, looking at how data like PDFs can be stored on-chain in an NFT using Base64. A key theme was applying tort liability not to the "fuzzy" AI cloud, but to the immutable smart contract "skeleton" that guides it. LOVING IT.

Technological innovation can be a form of participation in the divine act of creation. It carries an ethical and spiritual weight, for every design choice expresses a vision of humanity. The Church therefore calls all builders of #AI to cultivate moral discernment as a fundamental part of their work—to develop systems that reflect justice, solidarity, and a genuine reverence for life.

It’s been over a month since the Representative from Arizona won her election, but @SpeakerJohnson refuses to swear her in because she is the 218th (final needed) signature on my discharge petition to force a U.S. House vote on releasing the Epstein files. spectrumnews1.com/ky/louisvi…

So the solution to government concentrating power unfairly is… to give that same government even more power to pick winners and losers, with even less accountability? That’s not fixing the problem. That’s doubling down on it. The power concentration people are angry about didn’t happen under capitalism. It happened under a mixed economy where the state grants favors, barriers, subsidies, bailouts, protections, and regulations to politically connected firms. That’s how you get entrenched elites. And the proposed “solution” is to expand the exact mechanism that created them. If your house is flooding because someone left the faucet on, you don’t fix it by turning the faucet up. It's not that socialism is next because capitalism failed, it's that capitalism isn't practiced because it's being corrupted and overwhelmed by socialism, and that's what's failing.
Socialism is next. Get used to it. Power is too concentrated. 90% of the country feels like they have zero chance to succeed. Unintended consequences

The powerful donors benefit when the pendulum swings back and forth repeatedly. It creates the Tyranny's Ratchet effect that keeps the powerful in power.

Charter Cities: an industry takes off 2 years ago, I discovered a new industry: special governance cities (almost interchangeable for "charter cities", "free cities", and to some extent "special economic zones"). Free Cities Conference. Prague. Projects at their infancy. 20th century mentality. 2 years after it I am amazed. The rising bar in relatively connected conferences such as The Network State Conference in Singapore and last week in Prague at the Free Cities conference propagates a clear signal: a solid industry is emerging. Packed room. Absolute attention. Qualified audience. And resilient builders actually executing projects that will be remembered as the next Singapore, Shenzhen or Dubai. Latin America has been a strong theme this year; it seems to be an el dorado for free cities. I had the opportunity to update the industry on @tftcxyz ' progress, at the convergence of charter cities, digital governance and AI infrastructure. Network societies have become a permanent theme at the conference. With @balajis during by last intervention to introduce the network state concept. With Vikram Bharati this year, and @DraperNationHQ 's vision on network societies. It's been lovely to see again our investors, business partners and friends @marioralves , Stanislas Zaytsev , @MarkLutter, Vít Jedlicka and Joseph McKinney . Thank you @titusgebel for hosting one more year this qualified event. Thank you Peter Young for the impeccable organization, as usual. We keep building.

Yes. I have yet to actually get to participate in a Capitalists market because of the PPP tyranny of Vancouver & Victoria that I've only half-survived. Cc: @vantechjournal
Mostly agree with this, Zohran and Bitcoin are arguably two different solutions for the same problem..

These fucking idiots don't get it. You can't pretend socialism for the rich is capitalism, have socialism for the rich destroy the working class, then be surprised when the working class demand socialism too.
Here is Peter Thiel’s email to Zuck and Andreessen in Jan-2020 predicting socialism. Tl;dr too much student debt and lack of affordable housing keeps young people with negative capital for too long. And without a stake in the capitalist system, they will turn against it.

Quaternions hold the key to physics and they were Maxwell's base for his equations, not Vectors They were replaced by vectors because at the time there was no proof for the first factor "a" The first factor is scalar and simplifies the entirety of electromagnetics algebraically

Indeed. And if you read the other patterns, they also indicate that when humanity enjoys 99% legal abundance, we'll no longer have these problems.

Pattern #3: Laws protect the influential, not the industrious Justice becomes a luxury. The powerful get different rules than everyone else. Insider trading is illegal unless you're in Congress. Wage theft costs workers billions but gets minimal enforcement compared to welfare fraud.

The EU's stablecoin own rules created a backdoor for US financial dominance. The "multi-issuer loophole": - EU entities must redeem stablecoins at par, no fees - US entities can charge redemption fees - In a crisis, everyone redeems through the EU - US reserves get ring-fenced for US holders only - EU entity holds the bag for BOTH jurisdictions MiCA forces EU issuers to operate under the world's free redemption window, while the US protects its own. The European Systemic Risk Board calls this an "urgent" threat to financial stability. Their own October 2025 report admits the EU framework "undermines financial stability". Europe regulated itself into becoming America's financial shock absorber. I'll be at the @bluechip_org conference tomorrow discussing stablecoins.
