18 U.S.C. § 592: This statute bars armed federal law enforcement (including ICE) from interfering with elections, except in cases of repelling "armed enemies of the United States." This explicitly prevents immigration arrests, patrols, or enforcement operations at or near polling places. The Department of Justice's Election Crimes Manual reinforces that any armed federal agent presence for enforcement purposes at election sites is illegal. End of story!
