This map, by placing the Mediterranean area inside the US, gives us a helpful perspective on the extent of Paul’s travels, as well as the size of the Roman Empire.
On his second missionary journey, for instance, Paul traveled the equivalent of going from South Carolina, up through Ohio and Indiana, across to Iowa and down into Missouri, then back to the Carolinas.
And, with a twist no one saw coming, all roads now lead to Nebraska!
As we read about Paul's travels in Bible in One Year, keep this map -- and the perspective it gives -- in mind.
