The story of our Golden State can’t be told without recognizing our farmworkers. On California Farmworker Day, we honor the people whose work fills our tables, keeps our economy moving, and strengthens our communities. In the face of challenges, California’s farmworkers continue to nourish our state and our nation, and today and every day, we are deeply grateful.

Gavin and I are heartbroken by the devastating shooting this morning at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis, where children were gathered in prayer during their first week of school. Every child deserves to step into a classroom with joy, and not fear. My heart breaks for the pain of these families. Our love and condolences are with the students, parents, teachers, and the entire community as they grieve this immense loss.

Jen and I are heartbroken and praying for the children, teachers, and families devastated by the senseless and heinous attack at the Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis. We stand with the victims, their loved ones, and the entire community in this time of grief.
