After exiting the plane yesterday in Norfolk, Virginia, after 57 years, U.S. Navy Capt. Thomas E Scheurich has finally returned home. Identified by the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency in April 2025, Capt. Scheurich was lost in 1968 during a Vietnam War mission. Yesterday , American Airlines brought him home to Norfolk, VA, where he was honored with the dignity and respect he deserves. Welcome home, Capt. Scheurich - your service and sacrifice will never be forgotten🇺🇸

In these last few days, we have prayed for the dead and among these, unfortunately, are many who were killed in combat and bombings, even though they were civilians, children, elderly, or sick people. If we truly want to honor their memory, we must stop the wars and put all of our efforts into negotiations. #Peace

“We keep living, rebuilding, making preserves—and everything’s going to be alright.” – Natalia, Recipient As Russian attacks continue, communities across Ukraine are preparing for the winter months. Natalia previously received a seed kit from WCK and grew the fresh vegetables, including tomatoes and peppers, in her garden. Now, she is preserving them in the traditional Ukrainian way, ensuring she can still enjoy the vegetables in the cold months ahead. #ChefsForUkraine
🫶🏻🇺🇦me too!
Yep, I’m “biased” toward Ukraine and against Russia. Guilty as charged.

“It’s all hands on deck to help with what’s going on [in Jamaica].” – John, WCK Response Director As Jamaican communities begin to rebuild after Hurricane Melissa, our teams are working hand in hand with local chefs, partners, and volunteers to provide support and comfort. We’re serving hot meals full of local flavors to both fuel recovery efforts and remind people that they are not alone. As displaced Palestinians return to their homes in North Gaza and Khan Younis, WCK teams have set up distribution points along major routes to provide hot meals, bread, and food kits to families on the move. The hot meals sustain them on their journeys, while the food kits ensure they have essential supplies once they arrive. #ChefsForGaza
Let’s help her rebuild all the hives! @WCKitchen
My mum’s bee apiary in Aberdeen, St. Elizabeth was badly damaged during Hurricane Melissa. 🌀 Many farms were hit hard too. All we can do now is hope the bees rebuild and find food again. Some hives still have a little honey left, and we’ll give them sugar substitute to help them recover. Please share your observations with @RoostersWorldja. 💛 #HurricaneMelissa #WildlifeJamaica #Bees #RoostersWorldja #StElizabeth #FarmRecovery #Conservation

Terrific to join my friends @chefjoseandres and Norah O’Donnell at the Georgetown University Entrepreneurship Summit for a powerful conversation on building businesses with purpose.   True success isn’t just what you build – it’s who you uplift along the way. Always special to be back at @Georgetown, where it all began.  Hoya Saxa! 🚀

We love him! @WCKitchen #ChefsForJamaica Jamaicans feeding Jamaicans!
Chef Gariel Ferguson, based on the reaction to a video shared on social media, has taken stirring the pot to a whole new level! Ferguson, who is part of the local team helping World Central Kitchen, was spotted by Thursday Food stirring quite an impressive pot of rice and peas. “Big kitchen active!” he shared. “The first batch for 4,000 servings is just about ready to be sent out!” jamaicaobserver.com/2025/11/…

🇯🇲 It’s all about Jamaicans supporting Jamaicans! In Salt Spring, a group of local women—many of whom were impacted by the storm themselves—are joining WCK to serve meals prepared at our Montego Bay Field Kitchen. This week, they’re sharing local favorites like brown stew chicken with rice and peas with more than 100 families who’ve lost access to food. #ChefsForJamaica
We try to learn every mission @WCKitchen #ChefsForJamica Jamaicans Feeding Jamaicans!🫶🏻
