What a surreal view of the church in Michigan that was attacked this morning, which is a meetinghouse for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
The world is in an increasingly chaotic state of turmoil.
We have been taught that in the latter days, men’s hearts would fail them. We know that as the Second Coming of Jesus Christ approaches, believers will face more and more opposition.
This month has made it extremely clear that these things are coming to pass exactly as has been prophesied.
President Nelson taught us that despite the increasing wickedness and turmoil in our society, we can overcome the world and find peace by making and keeping covenants with God.
We need more peacemakers. We need people to stand up for good and to not be quiet in doing so. We must actively love and serve others, following in the footsteps of our Savior.
Turn towards your neighbor and tell them you love them. Bring them some cookies. Invite them over. Get to know them.
As we turn strangers and neighbors into friends, we can hopefully provide an antidote to the chaos that continues to grow. I believe in Christ, and I believe He will come again. There is so much good in the world, despite what the news focuses on.
Even as this building burns to the ground, millions of people of all religions gather today to worship Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. God is good. There is hope and peace in Christ.
