The President and Administration have already worsened food affordability They are now set to initiate a #hunger crisis and collapse the food economy by withholding #SNAP benefits 5 million in #CA rely on to eat @USDA needs to issue full November #SNAP benefits, immediately!
Trump has repeatedly claimed this month that grocery prices are "down" or "way down." They're up, again. Today's inflation report shows grocery prices increased from August to September, over the last year, and since he returned to office in January: cnn.com/2025/10/24/politics/…

A reminder that food banks have said a 10% #SNAP cut will “wipe them out” The #BigUglyBetrayal is more than a 20% cut! #SNAPmatters #HandsOffSNAP cbsnews.com/sanfrancisco/new…

.@AsmSadeElhawary: We have #billionaires in this state, while families fall further behind. What can't the #wealthy pay their fair share? What California are we building? I support this #CaBudget with the understanding that we are continuing conversations on #revenues

.@AsmCRodriguez: #Health4All is a milestone that we cannot walk away from Even the suggestion that we slash #healthcare for #immigrants who pay #taxes is wrong We are being hunted and disappeared We cannot simultaneously validate the Trump narrative that blames our communities

#TLDR: massive #wealth transfer to the 1%, by pushing people into deeper #poverty!
CBO's interactive tool allows users to explore how H.R. 1, the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, as passed by the House of Representatives on May 22, 2025, would affect the economic resources available to households grouped by income. cbo.gov/publication/61469

.@senatorsrp’s call for #corporate #accountability is well-documented: @UCBLaborCenter found 75% of public beneficiaries were in #WorkingFamilies who couldn’t afford their #BasicNeeds due to #PovertyWages insufficient hours and #WageTheft #FairBudgerNow #SNAPmatters
We need to hold Corporate “Welfare Queens” who intentionally avoid giving employee’s healthcare benefits and take advantage of our MediCal system accountable. The same corporations whose employees rely on SNAP because they refuse to pay them a decent wage.

.@SenatorMenjivar: we are subsidizing large corporations that don’t provide #healthcare, but are ok to break promises to make cuts to community? This is a moral question: our #Health4All must be in sickness and in health. We must have revenues and not subsidize corporations 🔥

.@senatorsrp on 🔥 at #CaLeg #CaBudget: I completely reject that the federal administration says we must cut #food and #healthcare #BasicNeeds programs but can find $100M in a week militarize our communities #FairBudgetNow #HandsOffSNAP

.@RepBrendanBoyle: this bill is the biggest cut to #nutrition assistance in history, while those with the lowest income will actually be #poorer as a result of deep cuts to #food and #healthcare, while #tax benefits flow to the #wealthy
