Created this a year ago and parked it. Find me there next. But I'll leave you here with this: Steve Finamore died today. Awful. One of the last conversations we had was about how freeing it felt for him to quit social media and how life is too short for unnecessary bullshit. ✌️

If “the creation of a future uneven distribution of league revenues” doesn’t scare the crap out of the decision-makers at rank-and-file Big Ten schools such as #Wisconsin, they’re not paying attention or they know nothing about college athletics.

The reason so many Big Ten schools want this is the reported up front payment $135 million to each school. It solves a lot of short-term issues for athletic departments. But it’s only a bandaid unless schools figure out how to operate within their means in this new world.

Further trying to privatize public university athletic departments that operate tax free on state/federally funded campuses/facilities into "for-profit business." Have to wonder when legislators step over "university administrators." Because this isn't "college" anything anymore.
