Today, we honour the First Nations, Métis, and Inuit Veterans who served with courage and pride. For generations, Indigenous Peoples have stood on the front lines to defend the freedom, peace, and the land we all call home. Their service and sacrifice are deeply woven into the fabric of our nation’s history. Let us remember them not only today, but every day — through our gratitude, our stories, and our ongoing commitment to reconciliation. #IndigenousVeteransDay #LestWeForget #CanadaRemembers

Heather is the best.
I worked with Heather Hiscox for more than 2 decades. There was never anyone who was better prepared to go on the air. Doing it at an ungodly hour & so well for so long is extraordinary. She signed off today after 20 years as host of @CBCNews Morning Live. Happy Trails HJ. 🖥️🇨🇦

It was a privilege to stand with Chief Williams and the community of the Chippewas of Rama First Nation to mark Indigenous Veterans Day. This day reminds us of the courage and service of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis veterans who defended Canada and protected the freedoms we all cherish. Their contributions are vital to our collective story, in Rama, in our region, and across Ontario. Together, we honour their memory and commit to building a future rooted in respect, understanding, and partnership. #IndigenousVeteransDay #RamaFirstNation #LestWeForget #Ontario
