I don’t use Nim enough to know if anything significant has changed in the last 4 years, but I was curious if there is any plans for maybe a second edition to cover anything new that has been added to the language since?
No plans right now. The code samples repo has the changes necessary for compatibility with newer Nim versions, there isn’t many so the book should still be a nice read.

How about a NIM node for Erlang like python node? Seems that NIM+Erlang is a great combination for developing massively scale-able systems

Just saw a post apparently by you asking for any reason to require voter ID. You suggested requiring voter ID disenfranchises people? Whom? What group is too stupid to obtain IDs? As for your reason to require them, how 'bout election integrity?
