I lived at a time when boys and girls alike, including myself, aspired to be the President of Nigeria and genuinely believed there was a chance of it. These days, it's a far cry - the priority is to be fed first.
Being known is better than being perfect. The brand that shows up everywhere wins, even if their product isn’t the best. We’re all focusing on creating something novel and innovative, when the focus should be on familiarity. Business isn’t a meritocracy anymore.

In my active years as a film director, I would get gears & kits on Jiji a lot! My most painful purchase was a tripod stand - good product, unbelievably affordable I had to ask the reason for the sale and he said "My brother, who once owned it, had passed" Something in me died too

I was about to kick-start another design project, and I was lost for choice when it came to selecting a colour scheme from the 3 shortlisted options. I had a preference. I consulted my daughter for validation. She went with the same option. sigh! ... it runs in the family

My setup ... one monitor, 2 devices. I had UnrealEngine opened and was trying to attach a cloth modifier to a MH. I kept typing and entering "cloth" into the search field but wasn't seeing any results. Little did I know that I had my office chat active with a colleague . sigh!

Some weird flashbacks I just have now. As recent as when I was out of NYSC, having to install ENCYCLOPEDIA BRITANICA on the pc was such a flex. Also Google Earth, depending on how powerful the config of your pc was. These days, those times sound like a folklore!

By some weird research, I came across a BRILLIANT nostalgic book by @ProfIanLinden called "EMIRS, EVANGELICALS & EMPIRE" For someone who has been interested in retelling stories lately that I am, I am in awe! When I get money, I would love to make it a moving picture.
