2/3 through Cormac McCarthy's The Passenger, very weird dual narrative plot line, gets a little expository like Neal Stephenson but overall incredible writing. Completely different from The Road.

Save yourself a *lot* of time, if you have a newer monitor and need a KVM switch make absolutely sure it supports HDMI v2.1. Most don't and you're out a couple hundred and weeks going back and forth with tech support.

It closes it for all your dependencies as well. No lib you use can print to stdout for the life of the process. I think but don't know that the stdout file descriptor '1' once closed can be reused for any file leading to bad behavior. There's freopen but that never worked for me.
