In the age of Mappo the provisional teachings are no longer in effect. Because beings are spiritually degenerate only the Lotus Sutra can lead to enlightenment. This is predicted in the 15th chapter of the Lotus Sutra, and the bodhisattvas of the Earth are Nichiren buddhists.
