"the cost per unit of a given level of intelligence has fallen steeply; 40x per year is a reasonable estimate over the last few years" "In 2026, we expect AI to be capable of making very small discoveries. In 2028 and beyond, we are pretty confident we will have systems that can make more significant discoveries"
This is an important one, I think. AI progress and recommendations: openai.com/index/ai-progress…

Perplexity Comet Assistant got a major upgrade yesterday. It’s now much more reliable and performs 23% better in internal tests, so I decided to put it to the test. The task was to handle my LinkedIn account, follow the CEO of Perplexity, find a specific post, and comment under it, and it nailed it in one shot. It’s navigating more like a human now, and its reasoning at each step is quite good in how it decides the next move. Comet has become really powerful.

China saved open-source LLMs. In the past few months, China has released some of the best open-source models (GLM 4.6, Kimi K2, DeepSeek v3.2, Minimax M2) for free. Meanwhile: - OpenAI hasn't released any open-source model since GPT-OSS - Meta is struggling to keep up with China’s open-source progress - Anthropic has no plans to release open-source models The future of open-source AI is being built in China.

The war in Sudan today has two fronts: the front of bullets... and the front of lies. Old videos reposted as real, different images presented as facts, and battles built from nothing. Fake information kills like a bullet. Before you post... are you looking for the truth? Or are you serving propaganda from a party who only cares about his interest? dw.com/en/fact-check-how-fak…

3/4 TinyFish highlighted real-world workflows: messy tasks, real tools and explicit error handling. Tasks that often fail in demos were shown running end to end, underscoring reliability at scale, which many teams are still working on.

Enterprise agents are quietly shifting from "readable web" to "executable web." TinyFish just released a demo of their Mino technology what they showed is quite surprising and feels like where enterprise agents are actually heading. They're ICONIQ-backed, mostly stealth until now, and already running over 10M operations in production for Google and DoorDash. 1/4

🚨 Gemini Deep Research can now connect to Mail, Search, Drive, and Chat. I ran a quick test on email and it is freaking good. It pulls tons of data, summarizes it, and gives accurate insights. Had to remove the email section from the screenshots for privacy, but it is worth trying out. They nailed this one.
