This really is a shocker. Where is it?
This is a recently completed British train station. It is pathetic, value engineered to a level of comatose ugliness that dispirits & dulls the mind, dissuading passengers & degrading the trains that run through it. It is not civic or sociable architecture....

Let’s get past this crap that the king has ‘private income’ which will now sustain the ghastly Andrew. The income - about £25m a year - is from the Duchies of Cornwall and Lancaster which were appropriated by the crown from previous owners and, in the case of Sandringham, a massive piece of land, bought by Victoria with funds she received from parliament ie us, the stupid taxpayers who put up with this farrago. Today, the income from the duchies is not taxed. Like all the rest of it, it’s basically in its origin theft.

Jean Nouvel’s new Fondation Cartier is a subversive vision of a museum. Situated in front of the Louvre, this centre for contemporary art could have been a cliché — instead the French architect has created something truly provocative. By @edwinheathcote ft.com/content/8156f5df-55ac…

Outstanding.
NEWS: 🌿We're thrilled that The Garden of Cosmic Speculation in Dumfries has become a designated landscape, following assessment by Historic Environment Scotland and support from C20 Society. Developed gradually between 1988 and 2012, the garden is a work of outstanding artistic importance by the internationally renowned landscape designer and theorist of postmodernism Charles Jencks (1936–2019), in collaboration with his wife Maggie Keswick Jencks (1941-95) and members of their close family.
